AMCA - Air Movement and Control Association.
A not-for-profit association of air system equipment manufacturers which serves as a valuable resource and a strong means of self-regulation in the industry. Members participate in the development of standards and a Certified Ratings Program. Our President is currently the Vice President of the Executive Committee.
Miami-Dade Product Notice of Acceptance.
Manufacturers of construction products submit technical documentation (test reports, engineering analysis, installation procedures, etc.) to verify compliance with the building code. Once approved product will receive an NOA number.
California Fire Code
The California Code of Regulations created by the California Building Standards Commission. The purpose of the code is to establish requirements to safeguard the public health from hazards of fire, explosion or dangerous conditions in new and existing structures.
UL (formerly Underwriters Laboratories) certifies, validates, tests, inspects, audits, and advises and trains. Their mission is to promote safe living and working environments for people by the application of safety science and hazard-based safety Engineering and to advance safety science through research and investigation.
The National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program
NVLAP provides third party accreditation to testing and calibration laboratories in response to legislative actions or requests from government agencies or private sector organizations. NVLAP accredited laboratories are assessed against the management and technical requirements published in the International Standard, ISO/IEC 17025:2005.
American National Standards Institute
The institute oversees the creation, promulgation and use of thousands of norms and guidelines that directly impact businesses in nearly every sector. ANSI is actively engaged in accrediting programs that assess conformance to standards therebye safeguarding the integrity of these programs.
American Society for Testing and Materials is now
known as ASTM International
ASTM International is a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of international voluntary consensus standards. Currently, approximately 12,000 ASTM standards are used around the world to improve product and consumer confidence.
U.S. Green Building Council
A group of builders, environmentalists, corporations and nonprofits, teachers and students, lawmakers and citizens that share a common vision of a sustainable built environment for all within the next generation. Thier work includes LEED - a certification program that guides project design, construction, operations and maintenance.
