Brent Alphin

Brent Alphin

Laboratory Manager

With 18 years of industry experience, Brent Alphin brings a strong background in both chemical (petroleum) and civil engineering laboratory testing. Since joining Pottorff, he has played a key role in advancing the company’s testing capabilities; adding six major testing programs along with numerous specialized procedures. Brent has completed ISO 17025 Laboratory Accreditation and NIST Laboratory Certification training, and he actively contributes to industry standards as a member of AMCA 500 and AMCA 503 committees. Passionate about continuous improvement, Brent takes pride in seeing the lab’s evolution align with Pottorff’s ongoing growth and success.

Brad Bauer

Regional Sales Manager – Eastern Region

With 30 years of experience in the commercial building products industry, Brad Bauer brings extensive expertise in sales, marketing, and business development. His career includes leadership roles in facility and safety management, as well as marketing and sales management positions with Vistawall/Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, YKK Architectural, and Trulite. Currently serving as Pottorff’s Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern Region, Brad served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PCI Industries/Pottorff. He holds a BBA in General Business and Marketing from Amberton University and has contributed to industry advancement as Past Co-Chair of the AMCA Marketing Committee and Past Chair of the AMCA Louver Marketing Committee.

Daniel Benton

Regional Sales Manager – West Region

With 15 years of industry experience, Daniel Benton has spent the last decade at Pottorff, serving in multiple key roles including Customer Service, Application Engineering, and Inside Sales before moving into Outside Sales. For the past 10 years, he has successfully managed the Western territory as Regional Sales Manager, driving growth and strengthening relationships across the region. Daniel holds an MBA in Strategic Management and brings a well-rounded understanding of both technical applications and business development to every client partnership.

James Carlin

James Carlin

Product Manager – Dampers

James Carlin has 18 years of industry experience, beginning his career as a Design Engineer in 2007 before transitioning into Product Management. A graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, James began his professional journey in the aerospace industry before relocating to Texas to focus on HVAC life safety and air control products.

He is an active participant in industry leadership and standards development, serving as a voting member of AMCA’s ACCARC and a corresponding member of ASHRAE TC 5.6 and TC 5.9. James has also contributed to several key publications, including Field Modifications of Fire Smoke and Combination Dampers (AMCA InMotion 2020; republished in Life Safety Digest, Summer 2021) and Your Questions About Life-Safety Dampers Answered (AMCA InMotion 2022). His combined engineering expertise and product insight make him a leading voice in damper performance and safety innovation.

Jonathan Coti

Application Engineer – Dampers

With 15 years of industry experience, Jonathan Coti has built a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and product development. He began his career at Aaon in 2010 as a Manufacturing Engineer before advancing to Design Engineer. In 2013, Jonathan joined Pottorff as a Design Engineer, where he contributed to the advancement of damper design and performance for eight years. He later served as Product Development Manager for Dampers before assuming his current role as Application Engineer in 2024. Jonathan holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and brings deep technical insight and practical experience to support Pottorff’s damper solutions.

Dana Fenili

Customer Service Manager

With 13 years of experience at Pottorff, Dana Fenili has built her career through dedication, adaptability, and leadership across multiple departments. She began in 2012 in the Receiving Department and quickly advanced to Production Scheduler, where she optimized scheduling processes for over four years. In 2016, Dana transitioned into Customer Service, where her commitment to efficiency and client satisfaction earned her a promotion to Team Lead in 2023 and, most recently, Customer Service Manager in 2024. Drawing on her background in logistics and operations, Dana leads her team with a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.

James Livingston

Regional Sales Manager – Central Region

With over 35 years of experience in the louver and damper industry, James Livingston brings deep technical knowledge and leadership to Pottorff’s Central U.S. region. He began his career at Ruskin Manufacturing, where he held key roles in product design, product management, and sales management. Today, James supports representatives across 20 states, providing guidance in marketing and application for Pottorff, C&S Air Products, and All-Lite Louvers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Technology from the University of Central Missouri and is based in the Kansas City area.

Josh Parent

Josh Parent

Manager – Technical Center & Training

With 25 years of industry experience, Josh Parent brings a unique blend of technical expertise and leadership to Pottorff’s Technical Center & Training programs. Before joining Pottorff, he spent 19 years with AMCA International in roles ranging from Lab Technician to Laboratory Manager and Business Development Director. His career also includes time as a Louver Product Representative covering Texas and Oklahoma, as well as a Louver Product Specialist for one of Pottorff’s major competitors.

Josh holds numerous sales and industry certifications, including Dale Carnegie and Sandler training, and is an active member of AMCA’s Speaker Network. He serves on multiple AMCA committees, including 500-L, 511, 540, 550, ACCARC, the Louver Engineering Committee (LEC), Publication 11, and the North American Marketing Committee. His deep technical knowledge and commitment to education drive his mission to advance industry standards and empower professionals through hands-on training and collaboration.
